Things I unironically dislike: New Year's Resolutions

It's a new year. That mean a new you. It's a chance to turn over a new leaf and get rid of that bad habit. Or gain a good habit. You'll just be a better person overall, starting January 1st.

Except you won't. It's already the 20th which means that half of you have already folded and reverted back to your old self. If you need New Year's Resolutions as an excuse to try and fix something about yourself, there's a high chance you really don't care about it all that much. It's just one of those, "I really should..." things that has been left on the backburner for months, maybe even years. No, if you really wanted to improve yourself, you would have started as soon as you possibly could.

Prompted by: people trying to lose weight for their resolution. Get out of the gym. You're just making my life more inconvenient. I feel absolutely no regret in being angry at these people for trying to be healthy because they don't intrinsically want to be healthy. They're just there because it's their New Year's Resolution and will be gone shortly, but not without making me have to wait to use equipment. Get out.
